Brachioplasty (Arm Lift )

Upon aging, weight fluctuations, or even heredity, the skin beneath the upper arm often begins to droop or sag. Regular exercise can strengthen and tone the muscles of the upper arm, but it cannot improve the drooping or sagging of the skin. It also cannot strengthen weakened tissue or remove localized fat deposits. A brachioplasty can tighten the skin on the upper arm and give a more youthful look.

A brachioplasty is a surgical procedure used to remove the excess skin and fat deposits in the under portion of the upper arm. This can improve the look of the upper arm and make it smoother and more attractive, with results that generally last the remainder of your life. ElGamal  Clinic’s patients experience improved confidence when wearing clothing such as swimwear and tank tops.

In general, an arm lift is ideal for patients with loose or sagging upper arms from aging or extreme weight loss. Those with full or shapeless upper arms, or with the inability to tighten excess skin and build more muscle with exercise, are also good candidates for this procedure.

As with all surgical procedures, the patient must be in good physical and psychological health and have realistic expectations about the results
